When Is the Best Time for a Character Meal?
Since each Character Meal takes about 90 minutes, you may not want to schedule one on a busy park day. How about scheduling one for your arrival date? Many people choose not to buy a park ticket for their arrival date, so what better way to have your first meal at Disney than making it a Character Meal? Be careful, though and don’t book your meal in one of the parks as you will need a ticket to enter; but there are several great choices at the resorts for you to check out. Another option is your departure date. A character breakfast is a great way to end your trip.
Due to the increasing popularity of Disney’s dining plans, it is very important for guests to make advanced dining reservations for all character meals. For your best chance of getting the character meal of your choice, book as soon as you can, preferably 180 days in advance of your stay. Have your credit card on hand when you make your reservations. They will not charge you for your meal, but Disney will hold your reservation with a credit card guarantee. If you do not show up or cancel within 24 hours you will be charged $10 per person.
